Course Description:

Surveying 1 teaches fundamentals of surveying, surveying applications, mapping, and Global Positioning Systems (GPS). In learning surveying fundamentals learners will be introduced to surveying, explore level-transit operations, and level-transit application techniques. The surveying applications covered include basic-level transit applications, tape measure, surveying process, and trigonometric survey applications. This course introduces maps and covers topics on topographical maps and plats. Also explored is GPS describing GPS basic and applications, and GPS in surveying.
